Visit the nearby Allahabad Fort (built by Akbar), which houses the Patalpuri Temple, the famous Akshayavat (Immortal Banyan Tree), and the Bade Hanuman Ji Temple (known for its large, reclining idol).
Explore the city's historical side by visiting Anand Bhavan, the ancestral home of the Nehru family, now a museum dedicated to the Indian freedom struggle, and the adjacent Swaraj Bhavan.
